The Medical Information Specialist is the first responder for unsolicited on-label and off-label inquiries received via telephone, fax, e-mail, letters, etc. from healthcare providers and the public. This position is responsible for researching, assessing, and compiling responses by searching published and unpublished literature to create clinical support for the products as well as maintenance of a publication database and generation of slide kits and other materials to be used externally. The Medical Information Specialist holds responsibility for the initial evaluation and processing of spontaneous adverse events prior to forwarding to the Drug Safety Surveillance Department, and for providing strategic input to Marketing & Sales, and other departments within this company.

De omschrijving

Provides the most accurate and relevant medical information about the products to both external, (Health Professionals and customers) & internal customers (e.g. Marketing & Sales) either verbally or in writing, in a timely fashion, and consistent with data in our database. The Country Medical Information Specialist will research and evaluate published and unpublished data and compile information in a fair and balanced, scientifically accurate format.
Reports Adverse Events to the Drug Safety department and handles Medical Product Complaints received within established timeframes.
The Medical Information Specialist records details of unsollicited calls, caller demographics and responses.
Provides high quality and timely scientific support to all internal customers, including Sales force, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs & Medical Research; creates and maintains related medical letters.
Complies with all corporate policies and procedures
Shows strong sense of urgency in solving problems, getting work done.

De eisen

Je beschikt over een universitaire opleiding, medische-biologie, farmacie of andere relevante universitaire opleiding, eventueel afgerond met promotieonderzoek. Kennis op het gebied van medical informationis een pre. Je beschikt over goede communicatieve vaardigheden en het vermogen tot spreken in het openbaar.
